Local hockey players take part in AHL All-Star events

Falmouth senior Dan Hanley, competed with the PlanetUSA AHL All-Stars, while North Yarmouth Academy’s Matt Michaud suited up for the Candian All-Stars in Monday’s All-Star Skills Competition. NYA sophomore Jake Landry and Falmouth senior Dixon Pike served as on-ice support.

Special Olympics seeking flag football volunteers

Special Olympics of Cumberland County is seeking high school student volunteers to help out with the upcoming flag football league. Waynflete seeking varsity crew assistant

Waynflete School needs a varsity crew assistant coach for the upcoming spring season. Practices begin in mid-March and the season concludes at the end of May. USM hosting 3-on-3 benefit tournament

Pitching clinic Saturday

Ryne Lawson of the Portland Sea Dogs and former Deering High standout Ryan Reid, now pitching in the Tampa Bay Rays organization, will instruct the basics of pitching Saturday in the Falmouth Middle School gym. Casco Bay Stripers win meet
