Casco Bay Sports October offerings
Casco Bay Sports is hosting leagues in several sports this month. Wednesday night bowling at Bayside Bowl will commence Oct. 13. Sunday co-ed basketball starts Oct. 17. Monday night dodgeball begins Oct. 18 and Wednesday night dodgeball starts Oct. 20. FMI, cascobaysports.com.
Falmouth sailors shine in Massachusetts
Falmouth’s ‘A’ division sailing team was second to Duxbury (Mass.) High School in the 2010 Fall Funfest for the Gleekman Trophy, held this past Sunday on the Charles River at Boston Community Boating. Charlie LaLumiere, Ellie Macewen and Cam Pennoyer had a regatta-best 13 points to lead that division, with ‘B’ division teammates Holly Poole, Francesco Montanari, Haley McMahon and Weston Scott racing to a seventh place out of 19 teams.
LaxPros recruiting presentation upcoming
LaxPros will host a free recruiting presentation Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Beth Caputi, the longtime girls’ lacrosse coach at Brunswick High and a principal consultant with College Compass, will present a free workshop, offering insight on the college recruiting process from start to finish. Frozen Ropes tryouts upcoming

Baseball tryout upcoming

Freeport High School is seeking varsity Nordic and assistant varsity Nordic ski coaches for the winter season.
