Yarmouth names new boys’ lacrosse coach

The powerhouse Yarmouth boys’ lacrosse program has a new coach, Stephen Moore. Moore replaces Craig Curry, who led the Clippers to six state finals and four championships in his seven seasons.
“We’re very excited to add Steve to the coaching staff,” said Yarmouth athletic director Susan Robbins. “Steve has proven himself to be the consummate teacher/coach and will be a great fit for our lacrosse program.”
The Forecaster will have more on Moore’s hiring in a later edition.

Yarmouth coaching vacancies

Yarmouth High School is seeking the following coaches: assistant girls’ varsity basketball, assistant varsity Alpine ski, first team boys’ lacrosse and first team girls’ lacrosse. Freeport coaching openings

Freeport High School is seeking varsity Nordic and assistant varsity Nordic ski coaches for the winter season. Yarmouth resident earns college sailing honor

Yarmouth’s Alan Palmer, a senior at Harvard and Varsity A skipper on the Crimson’s co-ed sailing team, was recently named Sailor of the Week and Harvard’s COOP Athlete of the Week.

St. Joe’s hosting shooting clinic

St. Joseph’s College’s women’s basketball team, under the direction of coach Mike McDevitt, is hosting a shooting clinic for girls in grades 3-9 Sunday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fee is $35 in advance and $45 the day of the clinic. FMI, 893-6671 or mikemcdevitt@sjcme.edu.
