Falmouth hosting U. Maine women’s soccer

Falmouth High School will host the University of Maine’s women’s soccer game against Fairleigh Dickinson University Saturday at 7 p.m. All concession sales will benefit the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.

Falmouth Ice Hockey seeks coaches

The Falmouth Ice Hockey Association is seeking qualified applicants for the upcoming season. There are several coaching slots available for the Middle School ice hockey teams, including the head coaching positions for the varsity boys and junior varsity co-ed teams. Porpoise swimmers compete in championship meet

Eight Portland Porpoise swimmers competed in the recent Maine summer championships in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. Mike O’Donovan won the 13-14 boys’ division. Booway Bikales was third in the boys’ 11-12 division. Eric Delmonte finished third in the 15-18 men division. Delmonte also set a new state record in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2 minutes, 32.01 seconds.

Riptide tryouts

The RipTide ASA travel softball team is holding tryouts at the Greely Road field in Cumberland, Saturday from 9-11 a.m and Sunday from 1-3 p.m.

Fall Lacrosse openings

Maine Premier Lacrosse has open registraton for Fall Ball, featuring full field instruction and experienced coaches. Play is Sunday evenings in Portland in September and October. FMI, mainepremierlax.com.
