Freeport Fall Sports Awards night Thursday

Freeport Middle and High School Fall Sports Awards Night will be held Thursdays at 7 p.m. The Middle School Awards will be held at the FMS Gymnasium. The High School Awards will be held at the High School’s FPAC.

Taylor tip-off upcoming

The third annual Taylor tip-off basketball tournament will be held Sunday at Falmouth High School and Middle School’s gyms. The tournament is a fundraiser for the Taylor Memorial Fund which supports children across the state of Maine who have lost parents to domestic violence. The entry fee is based on donation with the target minimum of $200 per team. FMI, taylortipoff.org.

Field hockey premier team holding tryouts

The Katahdin Field Hockey Club, one of the top travel teams in Maine, is holding tryouts Nov. 12 from 1-4 p.m. and YourSpace Sports and Recreation Complex in Gorham and Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham.
