Local soccer standouts honored

The soccer all-state teams were announced Sunday. Falmouth’s Andrew Murry and J.P. White, NYA’s Ryan Rousseau and Yarmouth’s Chris Knaub made the Western Maine boys’ squad. Greely’s Audrey Parolin and Sammi Toorish were named to the girls’ team. Falmouth’s Wally LeBlanc was selected the girls’ Western Maine Coach of the Year.

Greely places several on All-Academic teams

Greely had several fall sports All-Academic team members whose names weren’t available for last week’s all-star edition. Qualifers for girls’ soccer included Shannon Fitzpatrick, Audrey Parolin, Sara Schad and Elizabeth Thomas. Boys’ soccer placed Alexander Clark, Gavin Collins, Matt Ricker and Paul Witte on the team. Field hockey qualifiers included Emily Curato, Channing Hodgkins, Meaghan Labbe, Julia Maine, Sasha McLean, Helena McMonagle, Margaret Norton, Eliza Porter and Emma Stewart. Volleyball qualifiers included Maggie Bradley, Emily Sampson and Eleanor Weickert.

NYA soccer players make All-Academic team

North Yarmouth Academy boys’ soccer players Charlie Gerrity, Forrest Milburn, Ben Randall and Ryan Salerno qualified for the Western Maine Conference All-Academic team this fall.
