Falmouth girls’ soccer standout Caitlin Bucksbaum was named the Gatorade girls’ soccer Player of the Year for the state of Maine for the second straight season. Bucksbaum, who had 10 goals and 11 assists while helping the Yachtsmen win a third straight Class B state title, will attend and play soccer at Villanova University.
There are several coach openings at Freeport Middle School and Freeport High School. At the middle school, there are vacancies for Co-ed indoor track, 7th and 8th grade boys’ and girls’ lacrosse, a head and an assistant football coach. At the high school, opening exist in varsity softball, junior varsity boys’ lacrosse, varsity assistant baseball, assistant coordinator for varsity football, a head JV and assistant varsity football and varsity field hockey.
