Falmouth diver named to Maine Hall of Fame

Falmouth’s Katie Mailman will be inducted into the Maine Swimming and Diving Hall of Fame May 4 at the Green Ladle Culinary Arts School in Lewiston. Mailman was undefeated during her four years of high school competition in the 1990s, won the Southwestern and Class B state titles four years running and was named a high school All-American in 1995. Mailman was also a multiple New England champion in her age group and went on to compete at Northeastern University, where was a two-time Diver of the Year and three-time America East champion. Freeport spring info night moved

Freeport High School is hosting a spring sports preseason information night for parents and student-athletes Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m, at the gymnasium. This event was originally scheduled for March 14, but moved back a week. Students interested in trying out for a spring sport should attend. Parents are expected to accompany their son or daughter.
