YARMOUTH — Nomination papers for municipal elections became available at the town office Thursday, March 2.

Two seats on the Town Council, three on the School Committee, and one on the Water District will be on the ballot June 12. Each seat is for a three-year term.

Terms are expiring for Councilors James MacLeod and David Craig; school committee Chairwoman Jeanne Rapone and members Laura Coroi and Tim Wheaton – who is termed-out – and water district member Tom Brennan.

MacLeod and Craig have both served two consecutive three-year terms on the council, so need to sit out for a year before they would be eligible to run again.

Residents may visit the town office during regular operating hours to pick up nomination papers. Nominees must collect no less than 25 and no more than 50 signatures from registered Yarmouth voters.

Papers must be filed by April 13.
