The Cumberland/North Yarmouth 12-year-old All-Star baseball team won the recent District 6 championship and advanced to the state tournament. There, the team lost its first game to Ellsworth, 5-2, before rallying to beat South Berwick, 6-4. After staying alive with a 10-2 victory over Dirigo, Cumberland/North Yarmouth was eliminated after losing, 9-3, to Bangor East.
