The Portland Porpoises competed last weekend at the state championship meet at Bowdoin College where the team placed fourth out of 22 teams. Reed Fernandez, Ellen Silk, Peterson Silk and Glade Fredenberg were high point scorers in their age group. Eight swimmers from the Porpoises qualified for the Eastern Zone Meet held in Rochester, N.Y. Open registration for the Porpoises begins March 28 at 7p.m., at Riverton Community Center in Portland.
