Bowdoin College opens Maine St. Station store
BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College's new book and gift store at Maine Street Station opens Friday, Oct. 30 – just in time for Parents Weekend.
The College Store, at the corner of Maine Street and Station Avenue, will be the first retail business to open at Maine Street Station, a $23.5 million development project.
The store will carry Bowdoin gifts and apparel, as well as books by Bowdoin authors.
"We're excited about making Bowdoin gear and other products more accessible to the community and the downtown," Cindy Breton, assistant director for the bookstore's operations, said in a press release.
The store will operate between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. During its grand opening on Oct. 30, the store will stay open through Sunday, Nov. 1, to accommodate Parents Weekend business.
The college also leases part of the second floor of 16 Station Ave.
