Falmouth educator is Maine Teacher of the Year
Second-grade teacher Kevin M. Grover gets a hug Thursday morning from Joyce Riley, administrative assistant at D.W. Lunt School in Falmouth, after Grover walked into an assembly where he learned he was named 2010 Maine Teacher of the Year. The award makes Grover a nominee for 2010 National Teacher of the Year, which will be announced next April at the White House.
Kevin M. Grover receives the Teacher of the Year award Thursday morning at D.W. Lunt School in Falmouth from Susan Gendron, Maine education commissioner. "Kevin Grover is a wonderful example of what an elementary educator should be," Gendron said. "Described as creative, validating, low key and always wearing great ties, Mr. Grover is well respected by his colleagues and serves as a wonderful role model for his students."
