Low cost yoga offered in Brunswick
Jai Yoga in Brunswick will be offering very low, or no cost, classes to kids, parents and teachers this summer, thanks to a Teaching For Diversity Grant recently awarded by Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in western Massachusetts. People’s United Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of People’s United Bank, has awarded $2,500 to the Iris Network in Portland. The Iris Network provides vision rehabilitation, specialized low vision services and vocational rehabilitation to individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

John W. Braccio was appointed president and chief executive officer of Wright-Pierce, a New England based water, waste water and infrastructure engineering firm. Braccio has been with the firm for 30 years and has served as a senior vice-president in charge of waste water engineering in southern New England.
George Burns was elected by his colleagues to serve on Bernstein Shur's Board of Directors for a three-year term.
Maine Connections Academy hired Karl J. Francis as the new principal of the state’s first full-time, tuition-free virtual public charter school for students in grades 7-12. Francis will manage school operations, working with teachers, staff, parents and students both online and in-person, from the new teaching facility located at 75 John Roberts Road, South Portland.
