After several years of working at the hardware store she went to work at Falmouth Central Fire Station as the secretary for several fire chiefs. In August of 1988 she became a reserve dispatcher for the Falmouth Police Department and started working full time in August of 1989. She retired in October of 2001.

She was a worthy adviser of the Rainbow Girls as a member of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Gordon E. Doyle; two sons, Douglas H. Doyle, and wife, Sandra, of Falmouth, and Brian E. Doyle, of Gray.
