Brent P. Hixon Jr., 54: Loved travel, music, animals
BATH — Brent Parker Hixon Jr., 54, of Westbrook, formerly of Freeport, died at home July 22 after a long illness.
He was born at Miles Memorial Hospital, Damariscotta, on May 13, 1959, to Brent and Brenda Hixon. The family eventually moved and he spent his childhood years growing up in Woolwich. He graduated from Morse High School, Bath, at the top of his class and went on to graduate from Thomas College, Waterville, also at the top of his class, with a degree in business.

Hixon enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading Stephen King, and the ocean, and had a passion for all types of music. Barbara Streisand was his favorite singer, along with a more recent favorite, Adele. He also loved animals, especially his two dogs, Ulysses and puppy Ginger.
He was predeceased by his father, Brent Parker Hixon Sr., and his long-time friend, Michael Frank Kelske.
He is survived by his mother, Brenda Hixon, of Freeport; brother Randy Hixon, his wife Diana and their children Lauren and Megan, of Bath; brother Kenneth Hixon, his wife Kelli and their children Noah and Emma; sister Lori Stilkey, her husband Chris and their children Erik, Kyle, Chandler, Jarod, Lana, Alex and Joshua, of Freeport; and sister Joy Hixon, of Freeport.
At Hixon's request, there were no funeral services held.
The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Desmond Funeral Home, of Bath, and Lighthouse Crematory, of Freeport, for all the care they took and all they have done.
