The U-16 Maine Riptide travel softball team, featuring several local players, won the prestigious 20th annual Barbara Hamilton Memorial Softball Tournament in Hudson, NH last month. The Riptide will be holding tryouts for the 2014 season on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 8:45 to 11 a.m., and Sunday, Sept.15 from 3:45 to 6 p.m., at Greely Middle School.
