The Rev. Robert Macfarlane, of Carver, Mass., portraying U.S. Army Gen. Joshua L. Chamberlain, speaks with guests gathered at Chamberlain's statue in downtown Brunswick on Tuesday before a ceremony honoring the 150th anniversary of the Civil War battle of Gettysburg and the 61 Brunswick men killed there. Maine First lady Ann LePage read President Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and the ceremony, organized by the Pejepscot Historical Museum, was supported by American Legion Post 20 and Maine State Select Honor Guard. Following the ceremony, taps was played at Chamberlain's grave site.
