YARMOUTH — The Downeasters Barbershop Quartet will travel throughout the greater Portland area from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, and Saturday, Feb. 14 – Valentine’s Day – performing singing valentines for loved ones.
The men are members of the Barbershop Harmony Society and will sing favorites such as “Let me call you Sweetheart” and “Heart of My Heart.” Valentines cost $45, and the singers will present recipients with a long stem rose or other selected gift.
Proceeds benefit ongoing activities of the group, including concerts for food pantries, “Youth in Harmony” programs and vocal and musical performance training.
