BRUNSWICK — Nina Thibodeau, 76, a New Brunswick, Canada, native who lived in Brunswick, Maine, for more than 30 years, died Feb. 27.

Thibodeau was born May 16, 1938, in Connors, New Brunswick, to Frank and Bertha Blair, the second of 10 children.

She married Eldrick Thibodeau, of the Aroostook County town of St. Francis, on Feb. 21, 1955. Nina devoted her life to her family, raising seven children and often working several jobs to meet their needs. The family lived in Fort Fairfield before relocating to Yarmouth and Brunswick in 1984.

Her children said that Thibodeau instilled in them a love and respect for life, a commitment to family and her own strong work ethic. She was known for her laughter, and relished time spent with family, playing games, browsing yard sales or visiting Foxwoods Resort Casino with her sister, Leila.

Thibodeau is survived by her seven children, 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, with three more on the way, as well as a soon-expected great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Lucy, of Texas, and sister Leila and brother Daniel, of Connecticut.

Thibodeau’s family extends its gratitude to CHANS Hospice and the Hawthorne House Nursing Facility for their care in her final days.
