PORTLAND — Nightly paving work will close a lane of Franklin Street for nearly two weeks beginning Sunday, Sept. 14.

Crews will be milling and repaving the arterial from Fox and Somerset streets to Middle Street from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Franklin Street will be restricted to two lanes of traffic while work is underway, and flaggers will redirect traffic.

The state Department of Transportation expects to complete the $600,000 paving project by Sept. 25, according to a press release.
