BRUNSWICK — Road crews will begin resurfacing sections of Route 1 south on May 24.

The project will begin at the Cooks Corner exit ramp and continue south to Mill Street. Due to high volumes of traffic, all of the work will be done at night, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays.

Workers this week began posting signs alerting motorists of the project.

Pike Industries won the bid for the project, which is scheduled to conclude by July 2.
