Letter: Former selectman thanks North Yarmouth voters

I am writing to express my sincere thanks to North Yarmouth voters for allowing me to serve on your Board of Selectmen for the past three years.

I am especially grateful to those with whom I served for making my experience a good one. I am proud to have worked alongside Steve Palmer, Paul Napolitano, Mark Girard, Clark Whittier and Rob Wood. This board and our town staff exemplify what is good about our community. For them, it is not just a job. And that dedication shows.

Recognition is not something that one expects; therefore, I was truly humbled that the board would take the time to thank me publicly. Thank you for this honor.

Every selectman gives many hours in service to the community. Attendance at the bi-monthly meetings represents a fraction of the time they care and plan for the future of North Yarmouth.

I hope that you, the citizens of our town, will stay engaged in the discussion of the exciting challenges for our future and continue to show support for the board as they guide us.
