Volunteers sought for TD Beach to Beacon

CAPE ELIZABETH — With over 6,000 runners registered for the 17th annual TD Beach to Beacon 10K Road Race on Aug. 2, volunteers are needed for the race and the days leading up to it.

Volunteers are needed for the parking and shuttle program as well as for recycling. There are also still a few spots open to volunteer on Aug. 1 to assist with runner registration and the Kid's Fun Run at Fort Williams Park.

“If you're not running the race, the best way to experience the positive energy of this incredible community event is by volunteering,” Volunteer Coordinator Maya Cohen said in a press release.

Interested volunteers can sign up on the race website at beach2beacon.org. Minors cannot register online and must fill out an application available on the website. Volunteer groups are asked to email cohemm@gmail.com.
