Expect delays at Martin's Point Bridge

PORTLAND — Traffic delays are expected weekdays at the Martin's Point Bridge beginning Wednesday, June 4, and continuing through Tuesday, June 10.

CPM Constructors will restrict traffic to one alternating lane on those dates from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. to pave the new bridge, according to a news release from project spokeswoman Carol Morris. The work is weather dependent.

"CPM does not expect significant delays, but travelers who do not want to be subjected to any potential delay should find alternate routes," Morris said.

The bridge connects Veranda Street with U.S. Route 1 in Falmouth.
