Letter: State rep backs Breen for state Senate

Many challenges await Maine’s next Legislature, among them investing and strengthening opportunities in education for students at all levels and providing the highest quality infrastructure to attract the new investment and employers necessary to secure our economic future. Cathy Breen, a Democratic contender in Senate District 25, has earned our enthusiastic support.

Cathy understands that support for education begins at the earliest level, and has endorsed access to pre-K for 4-year olds on a statewide basis. Cathy believes that we must re-invigorate the University of Maine system and our community colleges.

Cathy is also committed to investing in our ports, highways, and railroads to drive our economic prosperity. Cathy knows that investing in renewable energy sources will create jobs, and attract new employers to the State.

For these and many other reasons, I hope that you will support Cathy to become our next senator.

Rep. Steve Moriarty
