'Life in a Jar' to be performed in Falmouth

FALMOUTH — A troupe of teenagers actors from Kansas will be making their first appearances in Maine this weekend for two performances of "Life in a Jar."

The play tells the story of Irena Sendler, a social worker who rescued more than 2,500 children from the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II.

The play will be shown at 7 p.m Saturday, May 17, and noon Sunday, May 18, at Falmouth High School. The suggested donation is $10 per person. Doors open one hour before each showing. For more information, visit

Students and volunteers at the REAL School on Mackworth Island are providing logistical support for the production.
