McAuley senior girls' basketball standout Allie Clement added yet another coveted award to her stash last week when she was named Maine's Gatorade Player of the Year. Clement, who went 85-3 and won four state titles in her high school career, was named Miss Maine Basketball on March 7. Clement averaged 18.2 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists this season. She also maintained a 94.9 classroom average and is a member of National Honor Society, a volunteer for the Falmouth Food Pantry, an elementary school library assistant and youth basketball coach. Clement was also the 2012-13 Maine Gatorade winner, which makes her just the sixth repeat winner of the award. Clement will attend and play basketball at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
