Conway 3-on-3 Classic upcoming
The inaugural 3-on-3-for-B Conway Classic, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament to raise funds for the Brendan Conway Memorial Scholarship at Deering High School, in honor of the school's former standout athlete, coach and athletic director, who passed away at the far-too-young age of 34 in November, will be held Saturday, March 8. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with games starting at 9:30. A fourth player can participate as an optional substitute. The cost is $75 for a three-person team and $100 for a four-person squad. The tournament is for players 18-and-older. The scholarship fund seeks to honor Conway’s spirit, as well as his work within the Deering community. Each year, a deserving Deering senior will be awarded a sizable scholarship to help continue their education at a college or university. FMI, 207-730-6533 or email@example.com.
