Letter: Scarborough foundation thanks sponsors, donors
The Robbie Foundation wants to heartfully thank the dozens of businesses, community members and volunteers who helped make the second annual Robbie Foundation Gala an amazing success. The event at Black Point Inn in Scarborough drew more than 100 people and raised $15,000 for children with special needs and youth with developmental disabilities in Maine. The highlight of the evening included a silent auction featuring numerous items from Maine businesses and a comedic performance from Juston McKinnery, a former York County Sheriff's Deputy turned comedian.
Over the past three years, the Scarborough-based nonprofit has raised nearly $100,000 through various events in the community. The money is used to purchase much-needed adaptive equipment, therapy treatments, assistive technology and other services that are not covered by insurance. Thanks to the generosity of our numerous sponsors, the Robbie Foundation is continuing to improve the lives of these very special children.
