Yarmouth High School crew's second boat of novice boys, consisting of stroke seat: Evan Tao, a Chinese exchange student at NYA, Francis Leith, Chris Bock, Brandon Felker in bow, coxed by Meredith Coolidge, clears the halfway point of a scrimmage race against Waynflete in Yarmouth May 4. The novice races were raced head style, in which boats have a staggered start and race against the clock. In the background is the Waynflete novice boys' crew consisting of Victor Anghel of Waynflete, Halsey Payne of Falmouth, Ben Duddy of Cheverus and James Bigbee of Waynflete, coxed by Alwyn Ecker of Waynflete. Yarmouth's first novice boys boat finished first with a time of 5:32, followed by Waynflete at 6:17 and Yarmouth's second boat coming in at 7:07. Boys and girls raced in fours with racing ending by mid day.
