Jeannette Marie Coffin, 76

BRUNSWICK — Jeannette Marie Coffin, 76, of Brunswick, died April 10 at the home of her daughter in Bowdoinham.

She was born in Brunswick, August 11, 1936, the daughter of Omer and Flora Guertin St. Pierre, and attended St. John's School.

She was married to Roger Coffin, who died in 1991.

Coffin's life revolved around her family. Although she loved her time with her children and grandchildren, she also missed her two sisters, Lorette Grimard and Lucille Raymond, who passed away several years ago. The sisters, known as "the three musketeers," spent their time, laughing, shopping, traveling, going out to dinner and just being together. Coffin's love for her sisters was like no other, and through their love and friendship, they created an extended family of cousins that continues today.

Coffin held a variety of jobs during her career, and retired from her work in dining services at the Hyde School in 2002.

She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, All Saints Parish and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by a son, Dean R. Coffin and his wife Paula, of Woolwich; three daughters, Debbra Bishop and her husband Randy, of Newport News, Va., Dianne Hawkes and her fiance Tom Campbell, of Brunswick, and Sharon Wing and her husband Jeffrey, of Bowdoinham; a sister, Patricia Bradford, of Maryland; nine grandchildren, Brianna, Danielle, Laura-Lee, Randi-Lee, Brad, Scottie, Brian, Riley and Morgan; and five great-grandchildren, with another on the way.

A funeral mass was held Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Church, in Brunswick. Interment was at St. John's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to CHANS Hospice Care, 60 Baribeau Drive, Brunswick, ME 04011.

The family would like to acknowledge their appreciation of the care provided by CHANS.
