Margaret V. Dobransky Dionne, 91

BRUNSWICK — Margaret V. Dobransky Dionne, 91, died Feb. 2 surrounded by family.

She was born Sept. 17, 1921, in Lisbon Falls, a daughter of Andrew P. and Susie Demchak Dobransky. The family moved to Pejebscot when she was 5 and she attended Pejebscot Grammar School. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1939.

On Feb. 28, 1942, she married Edward R. Dionne, the love of her life, and they made their home in Pejebscot until 1991, when they moved to Lisbon Falls. They had been married 63 years when Eddie passed away in 2005.

Dionne was a homemaker who loved caring for her family and was “Grammy” to many young people. No matter where she went, young people would hug her and were eager just to spend a few moments with her. She always made them feel special and loved.

She enjoyed seek-a-word puzzles, her cats and reading, but her true love was her grand-, great-grand- and great-great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents; her husband; brothers Andrew P. Jr., Joseph D., Michael, John and Franklin Dobransky; a sister, Helen Byrus; and a great-grandson, Adam J. Aube.

Surviving are two daughters, Margaret A. “Peggy” Aube and her husband Paul Sr. of Lakeville, Minn., and Susan V. Dionne, with whom she lived in Brunswick; a son, Edward R. Dionne and wife Beverly of Garland, Texas; a brother, Edward P. Dubransky and wife Gisele of Lisbon Falls; two sisters, Rita Justice of Pejepscot, and Madeline Beaudoin of Topsham; seven grandchildren, Paul Jr., Edward A. and Scott Aube, Michael Hudak, Kelly Dionne, Jenny Richard and Cindy Carter; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, Henriette Coulombe; and Baie the cat.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at St. John’s Cemetery.
