Cheverus freshman selected to Olympic Development program
Cheverus freshman Mackenzie Hoglund was selected to attend the Olympic Development program of the United States Soccer League's 2013 Super-Y League National Camp in Bradenton, Fla., over February vacation. Hoglund was chosen as one of the top two percent of players in his age group from Region One, which includes Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Two PBC fighters win NE titles
Two Portland Boxing Club fighters, featherweight Danny Pang and lightweight Lindsay Kyajohnian, captured New England Golden Gloves championships last weekend in Lowell, Mass. Featherweight John Lopez, light welterweight Liz Leddy and middleweight Jason Quirk vied for titles Tuesday evening.

207Lacrosse is offering several programs in March and April at the Riverside Athletic Center. Mondays and Thursdays at 5 p.m., Speed, Agility and Quickness Training. Portland Rugby Football Club hosting winter academy
The Portland Rugby Football Club is hosting four weekend workshops to introduce Maine athletes to the sport in a fun, friendly and safe environment.
