Clam dinner in Freeport to benefit needy families

FREEPORT — The Maine Clammers Association will host its annual Steamed Clam Supper, featuring area mud clams and other local foods, from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, at the Freeport Masonic Lodge, 33 Mallet Drive..

The cost of the event is $15 per adult, $10 for seniors living in Freeport, Pownal or Durham during the first hour and free for children under 12. Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped toy.

All proceeds benefit the 2012 MCA Santa Fund, which assists coastal Maine families in need.
