Cheverus runners brought the curtain down on the 2012 cross country season at a familiar locale Saturday in the New England championships at Twin Brook Recreation Center in Cumberland.
The Stags, thanks in large part to the performance of Shannon Conley (26th, in a time of 20 minutes, 19.7 seconds on the 5-kilometer course) were 25th in the girls' meet, which was won by Barrington, R.I.
Also shining for the Stags was Kiera Murray (28th, 20:34.87). Other scorers were Georgia Caso (141st, 22:21.21), Kaitlyn Dostie (177th, 23:07.68) and Emily Perry (181st, 23:18.25).
