Letter: Doyle in Scarborough Senate District 6

Elections are quickly upon us. This year we lose a good friend to Scarborough, Sen. Phil Bartlett, Senate District 6, to term limits. The good news is that there is a wonderful candidate I’m very happy to support: Jim Boyle.

After meeting Jim, I quickly came to realize that one of his priorities is schools. As a firm believer in the economic advantages of a good school district, I was immediately enthused. And unlike his opponent, Ruth Summers, whose party supports the elimination of the Department of Education, Jim would work hard to help keep Maine schools strong.

I was also impressed to learn that Jim has among other endorsements the endorsement of Maine Conservation Voters and EqualityMaine. I know that Jim will represent my interests, and the interests of Maine and Scarborough. Please join me in supporting Jim in Senate District 6 on Election Day.
