Bath to hold annual Citizen Involvement Day

BATH — The city will celebrate its 14th annual Citizen Involvement Day on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Waterfront Park event raises public awareness about service organizations and honors people and groups whose work benefits the city and its residents. Almost 40 nonprofit organizations and groups from around the area will promote their programs at the event.

The Citizen Involvement Day awards ceremony starts at noon and is preceded by a re-dedication of Waterfront Park, which recently benefited from new pathways, historical markers and landscaping.

The ceremony is part of Autumnfest, which also includes the Great Scarecrow Event on the Customs House lawn from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., a fall fashion show downtown from 10 a.m.-noon, and a "Made in Maine" craft show on Lower Front Street from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
