Input sought on future of Clifford School
PORTLAND — City officials are looking for public input on the future of the Nathan Clifford School at a meeting next week.
The 105-year-old school has been vacant since it was closed in February 2011. The Nathan Clifford Re-Use Advisory Task Force is exploring options for its reuse.
At the Oct. 2 meeting city staff and task force members will present information on the building condition and re-use ideas to the public. They are also asking for additional ideas from the public to present to the City Council.
The meeting will be held in Room 209 of City Hall starting at 5:30 p.m. For more information, visit the city's website at portlandmaine.gov/nathanclifford.htm.
