Letter: Innes backs Cooper for Yarmouth House seat

As I finish my term, I am thrilled to support Janice Cooper, the Democratic nominee, in her run this year for the open legislative seat in Yarmouth. Janice’s background and experience will serve Yarmouth well in Augusta, on day one. She has nearly two decades of experience as a legislative aide. Having run a small business with her husband, she understands first hand how hard it can be to meet payroll, complying with government regulations.

She is also deeply committed to our town, having worked and volunteered in our schools and for the Clam Festival. She was the guiding force in creating Firehouse Arts, a new community arts center that will soon be making affordable, creative arts classes available to residents of all ages. So I hope very much that in November, Yarmouth voters will send Janice Cooper to the Statehouse.
