Arrests

6/18 at 2:49 a.m. Nancy K. Leighton, 19, of Lower Methodist Road, Cumberland, was arrested at Hannaford on Gray Road by Officer Jeff Pardue on charges of operating without a license and illegal transportation of alcohol by a minor.

Summonses

6/16 at 11:45 p.m. Barry and Paula Spencer, both 52, of Fieldstone Lane, were summonsed on Fieldstone Lane by Officer Lucas Hallett on a charge of furnishing a place for minors to consume liquor.

6/16 at 11:45 p.m. A 17-year-old male, of Lakeside Drive, was summonsed on Fieldstone Lane by Officer Lucas Hallett on a charge of illegal possession of liquor by a minor.

6/16 at 11:45 p.m. A 17-year-old male, of Preservation Drive, was summonsed on Fieldstone Lane by Officer Lucas Hall

What's the speed limit?

6/16 at 2:10 p.m. Officer Dennis Ryder attempted to stop a motorcycle on Gray Road traveling at 85 mph in a 35 mph zone. The driver failed to stop and Officer Ryder and Sgt. George Savidge began to pursue him, ending the chase when speeds reached 100 mph. Cumberland County Sheriff Officers found the motorcycle on its side in Cumberland shortly after and initiated a canine track. They were unable to locate the driver.

You're giving me the creeps

6/19 at 10:15 p.m. Employees at Super Scoops, 178 U.S. Route 1, called to report a suspicious male, early 20s, dressed in black watching them closely. Callers said he was staring at them and it was making them nervous. Police arrived at the scene but couldn't locate anyone. A male matching the description was located about 45 minutes later and taken to a shelter in Portland.

6/17 at 12:24 p.m. Brush fire on I-295.

6/18 at 1:21 p.m. Unattended and unpermitted fire on Ayers Court.

6/21 at 5:51 p.m. Fire on Blueberry Lane.
