Greely students inducted into language honors societies
CUMBERLAND — On March 14, the Greely High School Language Honor Societies held their annual induction ceremonies. In order to be included, students must have completed the first semester of level three Spanish or French or level two of Latin. The students must also be on the Honor Roll and have an "A" in their language class during the semester of induction. They must also have a cumulative average of "A-" or better in their language class for the three preceding semesters.
Eight students were inducted into the 15-member French Honors Society, while nine joined the six current members in the Latin Honors Society and 16 students joined the 23 current members of the Spanish National Honors Society.

Bernie's Restaurant helps Falmouth Project Grad
FALMOUTH - The owners of Bernie's Restaurant, Jen and Adam Shapiro, recently hosted a fundraising dinner for Falmouth High School's 2012 Project Graduation.
They donated supplies and gave 100 percent of one night's restaurant business for Project Grad. Students from the class of 2012 took orders and served up spaghetti and pizza to the customers. The fundraiser raised $1,000.
NYA VEX Robotics team heads to World Championships
NORTH YARMOUTH — The VEX Robotics team from North Yarmouth Academy recently qualified to attend the VEX World Championship in Anaheim, Calif. The invitation is based on their performance in the programming skills challenge at the New England Championship in Worcester, Mass. The team will compete against teams from around the world, including Singapore, New Zealand, Cyprus, Malaysia, Mexico, El Salvador, China and Canada.
Team members include Muriel Adams, Anna Bilodeau, Ben Claytor, Will Coleman, Ben Ford, Matt Hawkins, Phong Ho, Austin Kidder, Rhiannon Ramsey-Brimberg and Katherine Roche.
