Yarmouth student to attend young leaders conference
YARMOUTH — Parker Rollins, a fifth-grade student at Harrison Middle School, has been selected to participate in the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.
Rollins was nominated by one of his teachers as one of a select group of students with the scholastic merit, maturity and strength of character to represent Harrison Middle School at the annual summer leadership program.
This summer, over 250 outstanding middle school students from across the U.S. will take part in an extraordinary leadership conference. This year's conference, "Themed Voices of Leadership: Reflecting on the Past to Create the Future," introduces young people to the rich tradition of leadership throughout American history, while helping them to develop their own leadership skills.
Rollins is the first Yarmouth students since 2009 to attend the conference.
