Scarborough senior Christy Manning won the Maine Miss Basketball award last weekend in Bangor. Cheverus' Indiana Faithfull was the boys' winner.
Manning named Miss Maine Basketball
BANGOR—A perfect season ended with one final dreamy accolade for Scarborough senior basketball standout Christy Manning. Friday night, at the Maine McDonald's state basketball banquet at Husson University, Manning was named the winner of the 2009-10 Miss Maine Basketball award, the first Scarborough player to earn the honor. Manning led the Red Storm to a perfect season and first-ever regional and state championships last month. Deering's Claire Ramonas and Waterville's Jen Nale were the other finalists.
