NORTH YARMOUTH — “Portland’s Horse-Drawn Heritage” is the title and theme of the Skyline Farm Carriage Museum’s new exhibit.

The museum, located at 95 The Lane, will showcase the exhibit Sundays from May through June 19, and Sept. 11 through Oct. 2, from 1-4 p.m., or by appointment. Admission is free, and donations are welcome.

The exhibit spotlights Portland’s West End area during the 1840-1910 horse era, showing how present-day endangered equestrian landmarks such as hitching posts and stone carriage steps were used.

“Let There Be Light,” another exhibit, displays antique lamps of all kinds. Dave Tanguay of the Windham Historical Society will give a talk on his collection this summer.
