Emergency Department Director Dr. Jay Mullen, seated, and nurses Ellen Golding and Matt Hincks work Wednesday in the new emergency medicine area at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. The new emergency room is about twice the size of the old one, quadrupling the area for evaluating patients while providing for treatment in 16 private rooms.
The entrance to Mid Coast Hospital’s new Emergency Department and inpatient unit, known as Medial Surgical South, which includes 20 new private rooms on the second floor. The hospital addition includes a new lobby, staircase, and elevators at the south end of the building.
