FALMOUTH — The Town Council is seeking six residents to join the seven-member Long Range Planning Advisory Committee to form LPAC+, an ad-hoc committee that will work on a Comprehensive Plan update. Councilors hope to have a potential pool of interested and qualified candidates by Feb. 23.
The Comprehensive Plan provides the town’s vision for housing, transportation, public facilities, economic development, open space, marine resources, land use and other topics of importance. It must be updated every 10 years; the current plan was developed in 2000.
Applications are available at town.falmouth.me.us or by contacting the town clerk’s office at 781-5253 ext. 5320. The 2000 Comprehensive Plan can be found on the town’s Web site.
