SOUTH PORTLAND — Democrat Victoria Morales launched her campaign for state representative in House District 33. She hopes to succeed Rep. Kevin Battle, I-South Portland, who is not seeking re-election due to his responsibilities as harbor master, according to a press release.

“Victoria’s longtime commitment to our community, as well as her common sense and experience, make her the right choice to fill my shoes in the House,” Battle said in the statement.

Morales, who is an attorney, and her family are residents of Thornton Heights. She has three children who attend Skillin Elementary School and Memorial Middle School.
