BRUNSWICK — Police are investigating the death of a Monmouth man who was ejected from his motorcycle in an accident last week.

David Lamontagne, 45, was pronounced dead at Midcoast Hospital on July 6 after he was transported from the parking lot of Maine Mattress & Futon on Bath Road, where he was found unresponsive.

Deputy Chief Marc Hagan said Lamontagne wasn’t wearing a helmet when his motorcycle collided with a Ford F-250 pickup truck. The truck’s operator, Roger Reid, 78, of Harpswell, was not injured.

Hagan said the crash remains under investigation, and there have not been any charges.
