McAuley seniors Brooke Howard, left, and Sarah Clement, along with the rest of the Lions wait to be introduced first thing Monday morning as the perennial powerhouse hosted “Midnight Madness” on the first day of the winter sports season. All McAuley winter athletes took part and several spent the night at the school. The Lions had their four-year reign as Class A champions end last February with a loss to Thornton Academy in the regional final.
